Week 1, you will teach the kids the foundations in scientific investigation and elaborate what science is and how scientists use evidence to understand how everything works (Scientific Investigation Resources).
Week 2, you will focus on matter and will teach the kids what makes up everything - atoms, elements, molecules, compounds and their properties. Students will investigate how the mass and volume of a material contributes to its density, then relate density to changes of state (melting, freezing, evaporation, etc.). (Physical Science Resources).
Week 3, you will teach the kids how matter creates living things (organisms). The students will investigate what makes something "living" compared to non living, how organisms are categorized and how organisms develop relationships with other species in ecosystems (Life Science Resources).
Week 4, the kids will explore human's impact on Earth and how it can be beneficial and harmful. Then, the kids will learn about the greenhouse effect and resources of energy. By the end of summer school, the kids will explore our solar system and compare the atom to the universe (Earth & Space Science Resources).
