Amy Clement

Family: Mrs. Clement is married and has four children. Two of her children are out of high school now, and two are still attending high school.

Interests/Hobbies: Enjoys staying fit. She was raised in the Adirondack Mountains of New York where she learned to ski and canoe. Currently, she takes kickboxing classes and loves to run.

Cool fact(s): works part-time as a personal trainer, helping others to reach their health goals.

Beth Cook

College/Degree: teaching degree from the University of Maine in 1990

High School/College Activities: I was in the band, played soccer and basketball, a member of the student council and National Honor Society while in high school. I was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi education honor society in college. I was a student secretary and manager for the men's basketball team while at the University of Maine.

Other activities at RSU #64 or community: co-adviser for CMS FOR Club and I assist my husband as the Girls A Basketball coach. I am a mentor teacher and am on the governance committee.

Family: My husband of almost 25 years, Chris and our daughter, Libby, who graduated from Central High in 2017

Interests/Hobbies: I am interested in watching kids compete. Usually it is athletically related but I also enjoy music competitions and drama as well. I enjoy spending time at our camp during the summer. Kayaking on the lake or relaxing with friends by the lake are fun!

Cool fact(s):

My husband and I celebrated our 40th birthdays by going to Hawaii. It was a beautiful place to visit-even worth the 10 hour flight!

I was fortunate to go to Europe with my daughter and some of her high school friends and French teacher. What an amazing experience to see a part of the world that is so rich with history! Chocolate from Switzerland is truly amazing!

Advice to students: Try new things and get involved. Middle school offers many opportunities for you to get involved and meet new people-take advantage of it!

Reuben Fowlow

College/Degree: Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) 1971. Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science ( biology). UMO 1993, Masters.

High School/College Activities: H.S., debate team. Student exchange; participated in Canada's first Centennial celebration on Parliament Hill, July 1st.,1967. College, member of Chi Alpha and German Club, student exchange; went to live and work on a farm.

Years in Teaching: 48 years. My first teaching job was before I gradated H.S. Pictured is the 3-room school where I attended from K.-grade 11( senior year in NF at the time) and me ringing the bell to end recess. The kids would come running from all directions. Each room had 3-4 grades and 1 teacher for all subjects. I did not finish grade 11 in that school because 2 of the 3 teachers left at Christmas. I accepted the job to replace the K.-4 teacher. The next year I moved to a mainland town to finish H.S. There is also a picture of me taken during my first teaching assignment after college.

Family: Cynthia and I have been married for 44 years. We have 3 children and 2 grand children

Pets: Our current pet since last September is an Australian Shepherd which goes by the name of REIGN, because he is king in our home.

Interests/Hobbies: Fly fishing, ice fishing, bow hunting, wood working Scuba diving.

Cool fact(s): Worked in a cooper mine during college years. Got robbed on a beach in Barcelona while hitch-hiking across Europe.

Advice to students: Right now, school is your job; push through to success. All your tomorrows depend a lot on your todays. Malala yousafzai did not give up even after being shot through the head by a Taliban soldier who believed that girls should not be educated. Your education is free.

Cool fact(s): Never broken a bone, working on a Master’s degree in Literacy.

-Is working on her Master's Degree at the University of Maine in Literacy.

-Got married July 15, 2017 (was formerly Ms. Sargent).

-Likes to golf in the summer. Her best golf score to date is 42 on nine holes.

-Has traveled to Spain, England, Canada and this summer will be traveling to the Dominican Republic.

-Was voted the best goalie in Class B in 2010 in her senior year of high school.

-Has a Goldendoodle named Lola who will turn 3 in May.

-Used to coach softball and soccer at Central Middle School.

-Worked at Camp Beech Cliff for the Junior Maine Guide program.

-Hopes to become a Professor at a University in the next five years.

I never lost a field hockey game in high school. I grew up on a dairy farm with over 600 holstein cows.

I own a restaurant/ice cream shop on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, featuring some of the best seafood, sweet treats and views in the area!

Prior to coming here, I lived and worked in coastal North Carolina for six years.

Advice to students: Growing up was rough (abuse/neglect...), and though it has been a struggle to overcome at times (even still!), I choose to become who I want to become. Be willing to question and challenge your own automatic thoughts and actions - don't let them drive behavior that you don't want to define you. You are more than you can even imagine!
