MONSTERS
EES Kindergarteners made paintings of monsters, and MHS High School students made clay sculptures based off of the images. Check out the 3D interpretations of monster drawings below!
Art collaboration between Kindergarteners and High Schoolers
The Mixed Media class at MHS connected with the Kindergarten class at EES to bring some creative playfulness to a 3D project this past Spring. The goal of this collaboration was to show the Kindergarteners that their ideas are big and meaningful and to give the High schoolers space to reflect on their childhood memories while tapping into the creative forces of early childhood. The results were awesome!
Collaborating to create a connection between the visual arts departments at Marshwood schools helps create a sense of community and citizenship amongst students and staff. Thanks so much to Mrs Chamberlain at EES for this collaboration.
