LEGO Robotics was one of the first big passion projects that I started in my career. Thanks to a grant from the Perloff Family Foundation, I received 12 LEGO(R) Mindstorms(R) NXT kits in the spring of 2013. I ran a LEGO Robotics afternoon enrichment activity as part of summer school that summer, and I have run numerous LEGO(R) Robotics-themed activities in-and-out of the classroom since. I have also branched off into competitive robotics by starting a FIRST(R) LEGO(R) League team in 2014, and as the Lead Mentor of the Midcoast MAINEiacs Robotics Team, I oversee competitive robotics experiences that span nearly the entire public school grade span.
