Meet our team!
Greetings from WCS, I'm Ms. Hoskins!
I began working for RSU 1 in 2013, spending eight years in upper elementary classrooms before transitioning to the Gifted and Talented team at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Now, I have the pleasure of working with students in grades 3-8 at Woolwich Central School, where I teach extended learning opportunities for both elementary and middle school students. In addition, I run the Woolwich Word, a student-led middle school newspaper club, and I co-coordinate the WCS Student Leadership Team alongside our Dean of Students, Mrs. Dimbleby. Go Wildcats!
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family—whether we’re exploring local trails, parks, museums, or beaches, or finding other fun adventures. I’m also interested in photography, and I love traveling. My favorite books are psychological thrillers, mysteries, and dystopian fiction—especially anything with an unexpected twist!
Hi from Fisher Mitchell and Phippsburg Elementary, I'm Ms. Burch!
This is my fifth year in RSU1! I provide extended learning opportunities to third, fourth, and fifth-grade students, along with leading a STEM-based specials class for all students called Discovery, at both schools. I also provide informal enrichment opportunities to students at both schools when able, and lead the school newspaper at Phippsburg Elementary. One of the highlights of this role has been helping fifth-grade students write and publish short novels to share with the world!
Outside of school, I love hiking, spending time at the beach, and pursuing creative hobbies. Drawing, painting, jewelry-making, playing guitar, and photography are just a few passions of mine. I also enjoy traveling. In 2020, I spent a few weeks on a cross-country road trip through Colorado, Utah, and Arizona with my dog, Finley. In 2024, I did a similar trip with my dad, focusing most of our time on the national parks in Utah. This summer, I did a loop through Wyoming with Finley. Visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park were two of the highlights!
I'm looking forward to another year of working with students, learning their interests, and honing in on their skills!
Hello from BMS, I'm Ms. Willis!
A couple summers ago my family and I moved to the area from Rangeley, where I worked for eight years. In my previous role at Rangeley Lakes Regional School, I was the Gifted and Talented teacher for grades K-12 as well as the Lead Interventionist for RTI for grades K-8. I developed an enrichment group at RLRS called Creative Thinkers. Students participated in activities such as building robots out of junk, perspective writing projects, coding with drones, 3D printing projects, and creative problem solving activities. I love helping youth discover new opportunities and skills that they didn’t realize they had. In my new role at Bath Middle School, I have taken many of these ideas and projects from my previous role and adapted them to fit my current classroom and learners.
My family and I love the beach, so we are excited to be able to spend more of our free time at the place we love. I also enjoy cooking with new recipes, handcrafting, exploring new places, and learning new skills. I am excited to continue my teaching career here at BMS for a third year!
