All students will be given the ACT during the school day in the spring of their 11th grade year free of charge to the student/parent.
Students may also choose to register to take the ACT/SAT on a Saturday. Students can register to take the ACT on the ACT website and the SAT on the College Board website.

UNC System School Testing Requirements
For students entering in the Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semesters:
High School GPA: A minimum weighted GPA of 2.5.
Standardized Test Scores: Students with a weighted High School GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score (ACT or SAT).
For students entering in the Fall 2026 semester and beyond:
High School GPA: A minimum weighted GPA of 2.5.
Standardized Test Scores: Students with a weighted High School GPA greater than or equal to 2.50 and less than 2.80 are required to submit a standardized test score of a 17 or higher on the ACT or a 930 or higher on the SAT.
