Spring practices may start as early as April 1st. Practices & games/meets occur almost every full day of school until the end of the season. Tryouts & Practices are CLOSED to Parents/Spectators. Tryouts may be held for each sport. Depending on the dates of tryouts, students may only be able to try out for one sport as cuts may be necessary for each.

Spring Clubs Registration Link Register ASAP. Spring Club registration has begun. Show the links here to your parents or find the links on the school's Athletics & Extra-Curriculars website to register. Clubs will start as early as the week of March 18th. Spring Clubs you can participate in include: 

on Tuesdays: Garden Club.

on Wednesdays: Beach Bag Bonanza Club, Homework Club, Unified Sports Club.

on Thursdays: French Food & Film Club, Alliance Club.

Unified Sports Registration link The first Unified practice will be Wed. Sept. 13th. Unified Sports joins people of all abilities on the same team to practice different sports and compete against other schools! Training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship, teamwork and understanding! We will play soccer, basketball, cornhole, track and kickball! For grades 6, 7, &8. Unified will meet every Wednesday from 3:00pm-3:45pm

SPARK Registration link The first SPARK meeting will be Monday, October 23rd. SPARK gives middle school students the opportunity to start the conversation about prevention early! Students have the opportunity to implement change while having meaningful conversations with their peers about mental health, community issues, and more!

HKMS Sports

Here is a list of home sporting events at HKMS that will have a chaperone to bring student spectators to the game to watch. To sign up, fill out the form linked above and return it to the main office on the morning of the game or before. After school, you would then check into the PM room in the cafeteria to wait for the chaperone to bring you to the event. Spectators need to be picked up by 5:30 p.m.

If students are unable to be picked up immediately following a practice, the student must sign into the PM Room in the cafeteria & be picked up there by a parent.

When school is canceled, after school activities are also canceled (the high school may have a few exceptions to this). At the MS, after school activities usually do not occur on half days or early dismissals either.
