HKMS Sports
Practices & games/meets occur almost every full day of school until the end of each season. Tryouts & Practices are CLOSED to Parents/Spectators. Tryouts may be held for each sport. Depending on the dates of tryouts, students may only be able to try out for one sport as cuts may be necessary for each.
Spring Sports The registration link above closes after 3/17. Practices can begin as early as 4/1. Student-athletes need up to date physicals on file with the school nurse along with SWAY Baseline Testing completed this school year. Spring Sports include Softball, Baseball, & Co-ed Outdoor Track & Field. Tryouts may be held for each. Students might be limited to trying out for just one sport each season as cuts may be necessary for each.

Baseball: Tryouts will start on Monday 3/31. Meet Coach Baklik in the cafeteria after school with: sneakers, water bottle, glove, (helmet + bat + catcher's gear if you have them), cleats (no cleats in the building).
Co-ed Outdoor Track & Field: coming soon
Here is a list of home sporting events at HKMS that will have a chaperone to bring student spectators to the game to watch. To sign up, fill out the form linked above and return it to the main office on the morning of the game or earlier. After school, students would then check into the PM room in the cafeteria to wait for the chaperone to bring you to the event. Spectators need to be picked up by 5:30 p.m. For all other events: Students cannot attend without an adult there with them.

Games may be added or changed. If you would like to attend a different game, find a teacher that might want to chaperone and have them contact Coach Baklik.

If students are unable to be picked up immediately following a practice, the student must sign into the PM Room in the cafeteria & be picked up there by a parent.
In order to participate, students must...
have an updated Physical on file with the school nurse,
have and up to date SWAY Baseline Testing (at MS level, needs to be updated every 2 years), &

When school is canceled, after school activities are also canceled (the high school may have a few exceptions to this). At the MS, after school activities usually do not occur on half days or early dismissals either.
