Welcome to 4K!

Hello!  I am Carol Pottinger. I am excited to be back at Westside and being your child's  4K  teacher.   I started my teaching career  in Rock Island, Illinois and taught in Iowa and Wisconsin Dells before coming to Reedsburg. I received my Bachelor's Degree in the area of Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  A few years later, I received my Master's Degree in the area of curriculum and instruction with a specialization in early childhood from Western Illinois University.   

    I was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa.  I moved to Reedsburg in 2006.  I am married to Brian who is also a teacher/coach  in the Reedsburg School District. In my spare time I like to read, go boating, spend time at my cabin up north  and watch football. I cheer proudly  for the Reedsburg Beavers, UNI Panthers,  Iowa Hawkeyes   and the Green Bay Packers!  

    I truly believe in the benefits  of early childhood education  and am looking forward to sharing my passion of learning  with the youngest students at Westside!
