Mrs. Hynek

My name is Mrs. Jennifer Sorom Hynek. I am a Reedsburg native and graduate of Webb High School. I am a graduate of Luther College with a BA in Elementary Education. I started my teaching career in 1994 in the School District of Reedsburg. After teaching for a few years I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Viterbo University. I've taught reading and math at Ironton-LaValle and second grade at South School and Westside. I've taught second grade and first grade at Ironton-LaValle for the majority of my career. I truly love being a teacher. I often marvel at how much I learn each and every day.

My goal as an instructional coach is to foster a learning environment in which all educators are supported in their practice, willing to take risks, and prepared to teach and learn. Each year is different from the ones before it, but each year is an opportunity for enormous growth.

Away from work I enjoy my friends and family, baking something delicious, and reading a good book, especially on a rainy day.
