Project-based LEarning (Buck Institute: Aug 16-18)
Teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a 3-day Buck Institute training during the summer to learn how to develop interdisciplinary projects and collaborate with their grade-level teams to begin the work. (August 16 - August 18)
Summit Personalized Learning (6th Grade)
Sixth Grade Teachers will receive a week-long training on how to successfully implement Summit Personalized Learning: http://summitbasecamp.org/ (Week of July 24)
Teachers will have the opportunity to receive training on effective instructional technology implemention, including how to use our agreed-upon Learning Management System (LMS), Google G-Suite (docs, sheets, slides, sites), eBinders, and digital cornell notes. (Beginning this Spring)

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Teachers will have the opportunity to receive training on how to incorporate SEL at least into Advisory.
The University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership's 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning (CEL-5D+) will be utilized not only for evaluation but also for coaching. Each teacher will receive coaching from an administrator on 6 indicators of their own choosing. This differentiated support will enable us to practice one of our school's Learner Outcomes: Growth.
