AVID - grades 7 & 8
AVID in 7th and 8th grades is a year-long elective course designed to continue to support students with a desire to go to college and a willingness to challenge themselves with a rigorous course load. Students are selected to enroll in the AVID class after an application process (3rd quarter of the previous year). AVID at the 7th and 8th grade levels continue to build organizational and study skills with a focus on the tutorial process, which is similar to a college study group.
