The Meridian School is a 13-18 upper school serving Royston and the surrounding villages.
Science Laboratory Technician
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks
To start as soon as possible - Fixed Term to 20 July 2018
Salary: H3 (£16,781 pro rata – actual salary for 37 hours £14,715)
We are seeking to appoint a well organised and responsible person to join our Science Department as a Science Laboratory Technician. The post will involve daily contact with staff and students so excellent communication skills are essential. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing for classroom experiments, including for Chemistry A Level
- Carrying out departmental risk assessments
- Maintaining equipment inventories
- Ordering stock
- Organising safe disposal of waste.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of secondary education, including Science subjects. Experience of working in a laboratory environment is essential.
