Let Us Introduce Ourselves:
My name is Joseline Graves and I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education from New Mexico Highlands University. I started my career at Shining Stars as a parent, then a practicum student followed by my student teaching. I was born and raised in Santurce, Puerto Rico, I am a Spanish speaker and I look forward to sharing this with my students. I am a daughter, a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Arianna is a fourth grader and Khloe is a second grader, who I learn from everyday life lessons. My philosophy is simple; I believe young students learn best through observation, exploration, and hands-on play. In our classroom, your child will have the chance to socialize, make friends, learn new things, and explore the world around them in a safe and loving environment. Our goal is to prepare our students by providing the set skills and tools needed to be successful in Kindergarten. We are excited to have the opportunity to be your child’s teachers for the 2019-2020 year.
My name is Rhonda Peterson and I will be the educational assistant in your child’s classroom. I am new to Shining Stars this year, but have worked in elementary education for 15 years, the majority of that time in Kindergarten and Pre-K. I have two grown children and two grandchildren. I am looking forward to an amazing year with your child.
Ms. Rhonda and I, are looking forward to an exciting year with your children! If you have any questions or concerns any time during the year, please feel free to contact us. We will respond promptly. Email: joseline.graves@rrps.net Phone: 892-7735.

Hello, my name is Elena Corral. I am a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensed in NM. I completed my studies UNM and received a Master of Arts in Spanish Linguistics in 2014 and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016. As an SLP, I work on building and improving communication of students identified to have a speech or language disorder or delay. As an SLP, I can treat and help with a variety of issues, such as articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering, language disorders or delays, pragmatic/social communication deficits, voice disorders, cognitive difficulties, and developing alternative communication methods. I am a strong advocate for multilingualism; I believe that every person has the right to learn and use their native language, regardless of disability or any other condition.
