Clarinet

"I Play Clarinet...What's Your Superpower?"

Embouchure, Reeds and Parts...Oh My!

The clarinet is an amazing instrument that can create the softest, warmest sounds. With multiple pieces, this instrument can seem overwhelming to put together (at first), but with a bit of practice (everyday), students and parents will be able to assemble the clarinet very easily (don't forget your cork grease). Small pieces of wood, called reeds, are used to make the sound and are very delicate. Be very careful with your reeds! Embouchure refers to the way we place our mouth on the mouthpiece to make sound (very important).
