April is National Poetry Month. While we like to celebrate poetry year around, we are taking this month to really showcase poetry. In my classroom we are writing various types of poems, and are collecting each student's favorite one into a classroom book.

Poem in Your Pocket Day-
Poem in Your Pocket Day-
Mr. Reichbach's class will be once again modeling the annual Poem in Your Pocket Day at Stapleton. Students will share their favorite poem with students and staff on April 18th throughout campus.
Poems can be from anywhere! They can be from published poets, themselves, their friends, staff, anyone! Make sure if you use someone else's poem you give credit to the author, and let us know what book its from so we can find the poem too!
You may memorize your poem if you would like, though it is definitely not required!
Our class will also choose a few of our favorite poems to copy and hand out on that day in case someone forgets to bring a poem!
