Guidance and Counseling

Counselor: Judy Reynolds

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

The Vision is Student Excellence.

The Mission Statement is that the role of the school counselor is to assist all students to reach their emotional, social and academic potential.

EHE will continue using Second Step lessons during classroom guidance scheduled for all grades during the 2020-2021 school year. Second Step promotes school success, school connectedness and safe and respectful school climate by directly teaching students the skills that strengthen their ability to learn, have empathy, manage emotions and solve problems. Second Step is a research-based social and emotional learning program for students in K-5 grade. Children who receive Second Step instruction have the opportunity to experience growth in self-confidence and a readiness for academic learning.

Students can talk with the counselor with a self referral or referral from a parent, teacher or staff member.
