About Me

I was born in Montana, graduated from High School in Wyoming, and attended Black Hills State University in South Dakota before moving to New Mexico. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary & Special Education. I received my master's degree in Curiculum & Instruction with a minor in Environmental Education. I also attended Oregon State University, taking courses in Natural Resources & Environmental Science.

This is my 12th year at Puesta del Sol Elementary, most recently teaching 5th grade. I am very excited to have the opportunity to share my love of science with all grade levels. 

I love to travel, especially touring our National Parks, visiting Monterey Bay & the Monterey Bay Aquarium where I have attended teacher institutes. I also enjoy reading - historical fiction is my favorite,  and I am always looking to learn new things.
