Graduation Information
Good evening Class of 2021 Parents and Guardians! It is hard to believe, but we have made it to graduation weekend! We are very excited and grateful to watch our Class of 2021 walk across the stage on Monday morning. Here are a few need to knows for our graduation
1. All graduates planning on walking at graduation need to be the mandatory rehearsal on Sunday at 4pm in the football stadium. Students who are late, leave early or do not show up cannot walk. We will move through rehearsal as fast as possible. Seniors are welcome to dress casually.
2. Graduation of course is on Monday at 11am. The graduates have to be here no later than 9:45am. Gates for the public will open at 10:15am. Seating is general admission and there is seating on both sides of the stadium. The stage will be set in the south end zone. Our stadium, being a public stadium, is ADA compliant and can accommodate wheelchairs and handicapped on both sides.
3. Keeping in mind that everyone wants to see and enjoy the graduation we are asking that no one bring large umbrellas, balloons, large signs, etc., Bags will be checked when you come in the gate.
4. Everyone coming in the gate must have a ticket. We are dealing with a capacity issue and therefore even small children will be required to have a ticket.
5. We will be streaming the graduation through our RRPS YouTube channel. To access the channel please visit the district website at www.rrps.net and scroll down to click on the YouTube Icon.
6. A reminder that graduates will be required to follow the dress code that is on their Graduation Contracts. This means no jeans, flip flops, beach shoes, tennis shoes, crocs, etc., Caps cannot be decorated and nothing additional can be worn. Graduates will be required to check in and will be checked for all of this as they come in.
7. The graduation ceremony is expected to be about an hour to an hour and half.
8. We will have a professional photographer at the graduation. You will be receiving a code for your graduate from Kenneth Brown Photography after that graduation to view your photos. You can purchase if you chose.
New Google Form
Please click here (Google Form) to complete the new google form for graduation. Deadline to fill out the form is Saturday, May 8th at 6pm.
Ticket Distribution
Graduation ticket distribution will take place on Monday, May 10th at 3pm in the Student Store (Activities Office). ONLY THE SENIOR CAN PICK UP TICKETS. If seniors are not able to pick up tickets on Monday, seniors can pick them up anytime, after that day, in the Activities Office, during school hours.
SANDOVAL COUNTY IS TURQUOISE!
Hello Class of 2021 Parents and Guardians - In today's world you try not to be thrown off by the unexpected, but today the unexpected happened and Sandoval county turned TURQUOISE!! This is very exciting for our senior class, but it is back to the unexpected drawing board for me! I will be recreating a google form for EVERYONE to fill out. Please expect this sometime tonight or first thing in the morning. This form will once again ask if you are planning on participating in graduation. If the answer is YES, you will continue with the questions. From there it will ask you the number of tickets you would like up to 9 (NINE!) tickets. It will also still ask you if you would like to be put into the lottery IF there are additional tickets (from students not wishing to walk and/or those not graduating). As a result of this we may be pushing back ticket distribution, but we will let you know in a follow up email!! Thank you!

Graduation Contract & Google Form
On 4/19/21 I met with all senior's through their senior English class via Google Meet. During the discussion I went over our Graduation Agreement and discussed the Google Form that I need all seniors to have filled out before May 5th. Announcement Pickup
Campus Specialties will be here on Wednesday, March 31st from 3pm to 5pm in the student parking lot to distribute Senior Announcements (this does not include cap and gown)!!

Class of 2021 Stormcoming Court
Stormcoming Court Applications are now available!! We will have a Stormcoming Week the week of April 12th! Our plan is to have an in person coronation (for court members only) that we hope to stream for friends and family. Click here for Court Information and Click here for Court Application. Cap and Gown/Announcements
Don't forget to order your senior's cap and gown and announcements!! You have two options to order: You can go online to www.campusspecialtiesinc.com or you can visit the Campus Specialties store at 1529 Eubank Blvd. NE Albuquerque 87111 (pending any closures due to stay at home orders).
Senior Return to Campus!
The following information went out via SchoolMessenger on February 18th:
We are very excited to welcome back those seniors who have opted to come back to campus on Monday. If your senior is returning to campus we are asking that you share a few reminders with them:
1. Mask - Mask must be worn at all times. Gators and handkerchiefs are not allowed.
2. Lunch - When class is dismissed at 11:30pm all seniors are able to grab a Grab and Go lunch. Seniors are asked to leave campus immediately. Lunches will be located at the bus lot, courtyard and parent drop off.
3. Parking - Seniors are all able to drive to school. There is no paperwork to fill out and no cost. Parking is on a first come, first served for spots.
4. Temperature - All seniors will have their temperatures taken when come campus. There will be thermometers at both ends of the A building, in the front office as well as the bus lot.
5. Bathrooms - If a student goes to restroom during class and there is more than 3 people in the restroom, please wait outside of the restroom until someone exits.
6. Chromebooks - Seniors should be bringing a fully charged and labeled chrome book. If they choose to bring their charger please have them labeled as well. It is suggested that you purchase a protective cover for your chrome book to protect it from damage, but this is completely optional.
7. Headphones - It is recommended that seniors bring headphones. If you do not have headphones please email Mrs. Griego at kim.griego@rrps.net.
8. Behavior - Due to COVID restrictions seniors will be required to follow social distancing rules, wear their mask and ask them to please not congregate anywhere on campus. Failure to not follow these rules will result in being sent home and moved back to remote learning.
9. Symptoms - If your seniors show any COVID symptoms we are asking that you please keep them home. Symptoms include, but are not limited to, consistent dry cough, fever, chills, body aches, nausea, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, headache, congestion or runny nose and diarrhea.

Senior Yearbook Ads
The deadline to purchase a senior ad has been extended until Sunday, February 7th! You must purchase the ad and send your pictures and message to amy.hinkle@rrps.net before midnight on February 7th! The yearbook staff will be in contact with you to help design the ad. To purchase the ad go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and use our school code 12975. You will purchase under "Share your Love". Would you like your senior's middle name included on their diploma? Make sure you email Mrs. Salinas no later than February 12th at stacy.salinas@rrps.net. If not middle name is given only the middle initial will be used from PowerSchool.

Senior Pictures
CLASS OF 2021 SENIORS & PARENTS:
Senior portraits for the yearbook will be taken this year by Kenneth Brown Photography* and your senior photo session needs to be done during this summer.
There are tons of different session options (see attached flyer) including:
1. Free Yearbook Only sessions at the studio** (June 15-20th) - 1 outfit
2. $30 indoor session at studio (2 outfits indoor)
3. $60 Indoor & Outdoor session at studio (1 outfit outdoor + 1 outfit indoor)
4. $60 On Location photo shoots (UNM Duck Pond, Old Town, Bosque, Grafitti Alley, Downtown - only available on specific days - these include 1 outfit and are nice outdoor options for those of you that are wanting to practice social distancing)

**The studio is located at 207 Candelaria NW Suite B, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
***Due to COVID-19, we will not be doing tux and drape photos for yearbook as it would require sharing of clothing. Instead, each senior will need to bring the formal attire required in the attached brochure for the yearbook in addition to the regular outfits you choose for your senior photos.
Senior photos need to be taken this summer and your Senior photo will be on your ID.
Seniors receive 20-30% discount on all orders placed online within 1 week of your summer session.
Please remember that these sessions are open for seniors at many other high schools in ABQ so please book as soon as possible to get your desired date.
