Happy Fall! We are rolling along, enjoying our Wheels Study!
I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into our classroom for the 2025-2026 school year. This is my thirteenth year with the Rocky River City School District and my eighteenth year of teaching preschool. I completed my bachelors and masters degrees at Ashland University in early childhood education (prek-3), early childhood intervention specialist (prek-3), and educational administration (building principal). Additionally, I have earned Master Teacher Designation through the Ohio Department of Education.
I grew up in Lancaster, Ohio, loving farm life by raising goats, chickens, ducks, and cows. My husband, Brent, grew up in Fairview Park which is how I ended up in Northeast Ohio. He is an attorney at Hyland in Westlake. We live in Rocky River with our three children. Logan is 10 years old (attending fifth grade at Kensington), Landon is 7 years old (attending second grade at Goldwood), and Leela is 3 years old (attending preschool at RRUMNS).
As a family, we enjoy being outdoors, camping, sports, and board games. We are members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Westlake. We are also active with Cub Scouts at St. Chris. When I am able to squeeze in "alone time", I love getting a run in!
I believe that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as your child's teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I believe in hands-on experiences, learning creatively, and learning through play.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. I am looking forward to a fun–filled and educational year together!
