District 57 of the Rapides Parish sought an increased investment in our students, schools, and teachers. A bond proposition, in the amount of $11 million, was approved in a special election on April 29, 2023.
The purpose of this bond is to finance capital expenditures for purposes of the District including constructing, improving schools and other school-related facilities.
Where is District 57?
This district of Rapides Parish encompasses the area southwest of Alexandria and north of Forest Hill. The two schools in the taxing district are Carter C. Raymond Junior High and Caroline Dormon Junior High.
