Master Sgt. Ronald J. Wesley has been a key figure in Bolton High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps for the past 20 years. Following his military career, Master Sgt. Wesley graduated from Louisiana Tech University and now oversees the approximately 50 cadets in Bolton’s AFJROTC program.
Master Sgt. Wesley has been married to his wife, Lyndia, for over 16 years and together they have a blended family that includes eight children. His favorite part of being at Bolton is the opportunity to mentor students. In addition to his AFJROTC role, Master Sgt. Wesley is also an ordained minister.
Master Sgt. Wesley lists the Bible as his favorite book and fishing as his hobby. He enjoys giving back to the community and helping students become good citizens, and he is inspired each year by students who testify how helpful the AFJROTC program was for them. He hopes his legacy is that he treats everybody well, which goes hand in hand with his favorite quote, which comes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
