FABTECH 2019

Auburn Automotive Students dominate the 1st Annual TE&E Skilled Trades Regional Competition at the Plumber Pipe Fitters Union Local 23 campus!

Ethan LaRue and Molajuwon Trammell completed their small gas engine disassembly, parts identification, reassembly with proper torque and clearances set and motor running in 1 hour and 11 minutes taking 1st place and snagging a set of Snap-On screwdrivers. 2nd Place team Michael Moxley and Cristobal Dominguez were not far behind with a time of 1 hour and 23 minutes. Thank you to Tuffy Tire and Auto Service, Tractor Town Lincoln Rental and On-Site for volunteering as Judges for the competition. Thank you also to the American Welding Society, NWIBT, Rock Valley College, Rockford Career College, Rockler, Nicholson's Hardware and Snap-On tools for their generous support as event sponsors and Greg Harley @ Local 23 as site host! Last and certainly not least THANK YOU to Margie, Beth and Janet at CEANCI; without their dedicated support of our trades programs we would all not be able to provide the meaningful instruction and skill development that many local and national industry employers are in desperate need of. #GoKnights #AuburnExcellence
