RHS Summer Reading 2022

Statement of Purpose

In accordance with Rockport Public School’s Core Values and Beliefs, the Rockport High School Summer Reading Program aims to promote strong, lifelong reading habits and to foster collaborative relationships between faculty and students. We believe that a summer reading program offers students opportunities for achievement in the following areas:

  • developing reading proficiency and cultural literacy

  • engaging in creative and analytical thinking

  • exploring diversity

  • sharing ideas with a community of learners

  • cultivating strong relationships between staff and students

The summer reading book list is designed to engage and inspire students and faculty members by offering a variety of genres and topics.
