Rowe Elementary has school today!

Mohawk canceled school today due to a localized power outage, but Rowe Elementary will have school as usual today. Please be safe on your drive.

The Rowe baseball team is looking for a few more players. If your student is age 6-12, we need them. If we don’t get enough players, we may not be able to field a team. Call Matt Crowningshield at 413-834-2099, and he can give you more details. Or you can email him at m_jcrowningshield@verizon.net.

The school day starts at 8:20, students are welcome at the school after 7:30 (there will be adult supervision). Breakfast is served from 8:05-8:20, we say the Pledge at 8:20, and students are in classrooms by 8:25. Students who arrive after 8:25 will be marked tardy. Being in class on time helps the students start the day on the right foot, academically and socially, so please do everything you can to have your students here on time. Thank you in advance.

Upcoming Events

We trust in a student’s innate desire to learn, given a supportive and stimulating environment.

We view teachers as resources who nurture this desire. In an educationally positive environment, children are challenged optimally to think for themselves, accept responsibility for their learning, and be involved in decision-making. We hope that as a result, the student will become a self-disciplined, self-directed, and creative learner with a positive, realistic self-concept.

Teachers as resources will provide feedback and support, a wide scope of experiences and opportunities, social and emotional strategies for coping, and the tools to become continuous learners.

Ultimately, all educational efforts are directed towards developing a respect for the rights, dignity, and opinions of others, as well as an ability to function effectively and productively in society.
