The vision here at Double File Trail is that every student will be equipped with the tools they need to live happy, fulfilling lives. 

Beliefs: 

As counselors, we support the social and emotional growth of all kids through a systematic approach in which teachers, administrators, and counselors all work together to promote equity for all students. As counselors, we design, direct, and put into practice a comprehensive guidance program that makes use of restorative methods and has the support of the entire campus. We base program decisions on annual teacher and student needs assessments and campus statistics. The competencies, ethics, and standards of the American School Counselor Association serve as the foundation for our work.

MISSION: 

The Double File Elementary Comprehensive Counseling Program mission is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages students to be courageous, make good decisions, and realize their leadership potential. The counseling program works to help all students reach their full potential as learners, friends, leaders, and community members through the guidance curriculum, responsive services, and individual planning. Students are given the tools they need to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and speak up for themselves and others. The curriculum creates a way for children to be brave, make good decisions, and reach their leadership potential by addressing their social and emotional needs.
