Meet Ms. Fikes!
My goal as your child's fourth grade teacher is to foster a space where my students feel comfortable and safe. I encourage curiosity, open-mindedness, and individuality in my classroom. I value joy, faith, and connection. With connection being so important to me, I am so excited to connect with you and your children and create connection within our classroom community. I have no doubt this year with be extremely special to me, and I am thrilled to embark on this journey together.
I recently graduated from the University of Texas (Hook 'em!). I have been around LME for the past year and a half, student teaching in kindergarten and fifth grade. I have loved every minute spent at Laurel Mountain, and I am incredibly thankful to begin my teaching career in such a magical place.
Please never hesitate to reach out. We are a team! I am eager to support your children the best way I can, and that means making sure we are on the same page. We all want student success!
