About me
Howdy! My name is Tabitha Solis and I am a third-year teacher at Hopewell Middle School, where I teach both 6th Grade On-Level and Accelerated Science. My classroom is built around a student-centered approach, with a strong emphasis on learning through trial and error—just like the scientific method. I believe students grow the most when they feel safe to explore, ask questions, and make mistakes.
I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, where I originally pursued a degree in Education before switching to Geology—combining my passion for teaching with a love for Earth sciences.
Outside of school, I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, playing volleyball, watching hockey, and catching up on movies (or sleep!). I also love spending time with my twin nieces, who keep me on my toes and make life a lot more fun.
This site is a space for both students and parents to stay informed, find resources, and get a glimpse into what’s happening in our classroom. I’m excited for a great year of discovery, growth, and scientific curiosity!
