Family

I was born and raised in Houston, but moved to Round Rock upon getting married to my husband in 2010. He is a civil engineer in Georgetown. We have three sweet sons, Everett, Jacob, and Luke. Everett will be a seventh grader this year - he loves to play the trumpet, play video games, swim, and draw. Jacob will be a fourth grader and he enjoys playing basketball, the color orange, and doing anything sporty. Luke will be a first grader and loves swimming, Pokémon, and dinosaurs. We recently added a puppy to our crew, Gracie! Our boys (and pup) keep our lives and hearts very full!

On my free time, I enjoy doing anything creative, shopping, working out, reading, and finding fun things to do with my family.

Teaching

I am certified in early childhood education (EC-6 Bilingual Generalist) and Talented & Gifted (TAG). This will be my 15th year teaching first grade! My favorite things to teach are reading and math, but I strive to make all subjects exciting and engaging for my students. I love teaching first graders because their enthusiasm for life and learning is contagious! There is nothing sweeter than a child lighting up after achieving a goal. I started my teaching career at another Round Rock ISD campus, Berkman Elementary. I taught there for 5 years as a dual language teacher. I moved to Herrington in 2015 and love it so much. This is such a special place to be!
