Welcome to the 3rd grade! 

I am so excited to be teaching your student this year. It's going to be great!

This will be my fourteenth year as a classroom teacher at Canyon Creek. I loved teaching fourth and fifth grade, but I am now so excited to teach in third grade. It is a wonderful year of firsts. I look forward to helping my students become the "big kids" on campus.   

I'm originally from San Antonio but spent my college years and then some living in Boston.  I earned two undergraduate degrees from Boston University, one in Education and one in History. I worked in a college library, then as an educational assistant in Newton, Massachusetts.  After being certified to teach in two states, I am so happy to have found my home at Canyon Creek. GO COMETS!

I've now lived in Austin for 16 years with my husband.  We've had many adventures together and love to travel.  Currently, however, we're in the midst of the greatest adventure - parenthood!  We do our best to keep up with our sons, who will be in 7th grade and 4th grade, and our daughter who is starting Kindergarten this year.      

Outside the classroom I enjoy going to the movies, game nights with friends and family, cake decorating, catching up on my backlog of Star Trek episodes, and (very) amateur photography.
