About the CRHS French Program

Cedar Ridge offers lower level and advanced level options for French, including Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-AP French courses. In addition to learning a new language, students that take advanced language courses can potentially receive college credits by successfully passing the AP exam!

French courses at Cedar Ridge emphasize proficiency - meaning that students will be able to USE the language by communicating through speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Classes are conducted mostly in French, but students receive a lot of support to help them to understand. We also learn about the global community by studying the cultures of French-speaking countries and making connections with students' own cultures. Learning a new language can be challenging, but it can also be fun, rewarding, and very useful!
