Mrs. Lucas

My name is Julie Lucas and I teach sixth grade. This is my 18th year at Deerpark Middle School, but I feel like I have been here forever as my children went to this middle school before I started teaching here! I graduated from Lamar University and I taught Elementary in Deer Park, Texas for five years before moving to Austin. I have been married to my husband, Jarvis for 43 years and we have two children. My hobbies include gardening, reading, and playing golf. I believe that all students will succeed and I am here to make sure that happens.

Students will help make up classroom expectations! This is their classroom as much as it is mine. Grades will be as follows: Daily work counts 60% and Assessments 40%. I will always accept late and missing work. I strive to have most work completed during the class period. I want this year to be the best one yet! Remember, Ranger Pride, Recognize!
