Welcome To Our Kinder Class!
I am so thrilled to get the opportunity to spend this year with your child. Kindergarten is a year full of lots of hands on discovery, engaged learning, and exciting experiences! I am looking forward to partnering with you in enhancing your child's education this year.
Here is a little about me. I was born in Kansas on a farm, but got to Texas as fast as I could!!! I have 5 brothers and sisters and 6 step brothers. BIG FAMILY! Fern Bluff , and my students, are my second family. I love teaching ! This will be my 15th year of teaching. I tutored and subbed for one year while I was getting ready to move from Dallas to Austin. My husband was transferred to Austin for his company in 2014. I've taught Pre-K, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, and intervention, but my love is the littles. The majority of my years teaching have been with K-2. I love getting to be a positive experience for each child, and enjoy the journey they take as they blossom and grow into life long learners. It is very satisfying to see a child's eyes light up when they learn and experience something new. It makes my heart smile.
I have been married to my husband, David going on 27 years. We enjoy bike riding, playing foosball, going to Canton, Round Top, and junkin'/antique shopping and traveling. We walk often through the Williamson County Park near us, and enjoy having friends and family over for cookouts and visits. We have two wonderful sons, ages 21 and 25. Our oldest son, Andrew, graduated from Texas A&M in logistics and supply chain management, and our younger son, Cameron, is in his senior year at UT Austin in Computer science. My husband is an Electrical Engineer, and enjoys golfing and go-carting , especially with the boys when they are home for the holidays. Our family, friends, and faith, are all very dear to our hearts and keep us grounded and continually seeking positivity in our lives.
I can't wait to see what we can do as a team to make this year a HUGE success for our Kinder Kiddos!
