How our fourth grade spelling works:
- Every Thursday your child will take their spelling test.
- On Friday, new words will be sent home.
- To decide on these words, your child is given a pre-assessment. The words they do NOT know are the words that become their spelling list. They will then pick up to 10 words from a bonus list.
Because spelling lists are individualized, if you child is absent, he or she will not be able to receive their spelling test until Monday. The student will still be expected to take the spelling test on Thursday.
