About the Teacher
Name: Mrs. Valerie Hall (she/her)
School: Texas A&M University, College Station, Magna Cum Laude
Classes: Statistics and Algebra 1
School phone: (512) 464 - 6491
Room Number: C230
Email address: valerie_hall@roundrockisd.org
Teaching experience: I have taught many grade levels of math from 6th-7th-8th-Alg1-Alg Reasoning-Geom-Statistics over the last 13 years. Eight of those years teaching Algebra 1 specifically. This has given me a strong foundation in vertical alignment to see where the students are coming from and where they will go.

Algebra 1 = It introduces evaluating equations and inequalities, real numbers, and their properties, which include additive and multiplicative identities, inverse operations, and the distributive and commutative properties. We will extend our knowledge of linear functions, and explore quadratic and exponential functions.
Statistics = provides students with foundational knowledge in descriptive and inferential statistics. It teaches how to summarize, analyze, and interpret data, including measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), dispersion (standard deviation, variance), and shape (skewness, kurtosis). Students learn to visualize data using graphs and apply statistical methods for making inferences and predictions about populations based on sample data.
