1. Create your design in a vector design program like Illustrator, PowerPoint, etc. Anything where you can measure your drawing.

Move your design to the Vinyl Master software on the computer connected to the vinyl cutter. (Currently only Mrs. Lind can sign in - working on getting a generic login.)

Use the rulers and grid to measure your design to the appropriate size.

Vectorize the image by selecting Images / Vectorize.

This changes the lines to commands that print the design.

Select File ... Cut / Plot

Select Send to Cutter

Select Area Test first! Make sure it's going to cut where you think it is. You may have to go to the settings tab to offset the print to match the piece of vinyl you are cutting. Think Maximize Material!

Check the mirror box for t-shirts.

The blade offset should be .25. It it starts ripping while cutting, then it's probably time for a new blade.

One you have done the area test, and the correct boxes checked or unchecked, the offset is set accordingly and the vinyl has been secured with the 3 clamps, you can then select the Cut button. It is wise to double-check the area test to make sure the roller clamps are not going to adjust while cutting is taking place.

When the cut is finished, unlock the clamps and remove the vinyl. Cut out your design with scissors, minimizing the area of vinyl you remove.

Note: It makes a bit of noise cutting.
