My teaching philosophy is to provide the highest-quality education in a technology-driven learning environment for all students. My goal is to provide a unique instructional approach by teaching history that is informative and engaging to my students through hands-on activities, project-based learning, document analysis, reading, and writing that will broaden their overall experience of history while making real-world connections. I believe that learning is a lifelong process. In addition to preparing my students to be successful this school year, I am also preparing them for future success in 8th grade and beyond.
PARENTS - I provide live updates and reminders on assignments, tests, and homework using the Remind App, I will as needed also send out reminders using the email on file with the school. (Please ensure that your current email is on file with our campus.) Parents and studnets can view my course calendar located on this website. GRADES are posted typically one to three days after the due date. You can view your student's grade using Home Access. Please contact our campus Registrar for more details on Home Access.
CLASS ASSIGNMENTS - The vast majority of my assignments are pushed to my students through Google Classroom. Google Classroom is a repository that my students can conveniently access at school and home. Parents you can also gain access to your student's Google Classroom to view assignments and your student's progress; if you would like to be added to your student's Google Classroom please email me. Please note that the assignment due dates can change depending on my student's progress and learning of the subject progression. I will change dates to ensure student success and mastery.
