It is important to remember it is okay to feel uncertain about everything that is going on. The most important thing to remember is making sure you let a trusted adult know what you are feeling. Everyone at school and at home want to help you. All you have to do is let us know. Below are some tips that can help you identify if you are feeling some anxiety.
Hard time focusing
Hard time breathing
Lack of motivation
Change in the way you eat (ex: eating too much or too little)
Changes in mood (i.e. feeling really upset or really sad)
Sweaty Hands
Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
Difficulty with memorizing information

Exercise (i.e. dance, go on a walk, jumping jacks, run in place, yoga).
Draw or color
Listen to music
Count to 10
Imagine your favorite place- it's like taking a mini vacation wherever you are
Call a friend over google meets, zoom, or over the phone
Think of your favorite things
Squeeze something (play-doh, stress ball, clay, silly putty)
Give yourself a big hug- squeeze tight!
Get a cold drink of water

Am I hungry?
Hunger affects your mood. Sometimes a healthy snack will help boost your mood.
Am I overly stimulated?
Sometimes after a long day of school your body and brain are really tired. Try giving yourself free time and do your favorite activity.
Do I need sleep?
When we didn’t get enough sleep we have a harder time controlling our feelings. It's important to get enough sleep in order to manage your feelings.
Do I need exercise?
Exercise will help boost your mood and focus. It helps us be responsive not reactive.
