Why the IB-CP?

Roong Aroon International School an authorised IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that RAIS believes is important for our students.

We are a Candidate School* for the Career-related Programme. Our verification visit was completed in early July, 2022.

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). What does it mean to be an authorised MYP school?

The IBO requires a school vision and mission that align with their philosophy.

It also provides a framework for teaching and learning, as well as specific academic standards for evaluation of student learning.

Some of the core elements which the IB-MYP values are:

Schools must undergo a candidacy process before being authorized by the IBO to provide a specific program.

During the candidacy phase, the school works with the IBO to align their program with its framework and policies, in order to provide a clear, developed and consistent continuum of learning for the students.
