  • What is the cost? £75 for a one year license. This can be renewed very year.

  • I'm worried about my 'tech skills' being up to scratch. How easy is it to use? The software is very intuitive to use but in order to manage entries and results you will need to have a basic knowledge of using MS Excel - saving/opening files, how to copy and paste from one file (and columns within a spreadsheet) to another

  • Can I see it being used in action? Yes there are about 20 races in the year organised by Chepstow Harriers and Rogue Runs where the software is used. Just come along and see it in action.

  • Can I try it out before I buy it? Yes you can download the software and we will give you a one month free license. After the month trial the software will cease to work unless you buy a year's license.

  • Why is there a license fee? The software took many hours/days to develop. We will support you in it's use. Time is money! The £75 is actually very cheap compared to similar software offered by some large companies. With RacePartner - you know it works and you know it's designed for running events organised by small companies and running clubs.

  • How many computers will the software work on. You need to buy a license for each computer and will not be able to copy the software from one computer to another. You only need one computer running RacePartner to process the results for races up to 1000 runners.

  • Can I get some training? If you are prepared to travel near to Chepstow, then of course. We can meet up and guide you through a dummy race or you can join us as we use the software in one of our own races.

  • If I buy the software what after sales support can I expect? You can email us with any problems and in certain circumstances we'd be happy to talk on the phone or via Skype

  • What equipment/hardware do I need? A fairly up to date computer/laptop running Win7 or above. The software will not work on a mobile phone or tablet. If using manual timing, we recommend (but it's not vital) that you have a second laptop to record times and bib numbers on the finish line using the free 'Race Timer' software. If using chip timing and require 'live results' inside the race HQ you will also need a second laptop to connect to the chip timing control box. The computer that you wish to run 'Race Partner' on will require MS Excel 2010 or above.
