In order to participate in Denver Public Schools online open enrollment, families are highly recommended to pre-enroll their student and create a Parent Portal account if the student is new to DPS.
Please complete the Pre-Enrollment form and Home Language Questionnaire and email to the following email by school. If you do not have time to create an account at this time the alternative (and not recommended) step is to use an email. If you do this, please take note of your email and password so you can log-in again. You can create an email by clicking here.

If you are new to Denver Public schools, all families will need to submit proof of address and proof of age. Suggested documents are:
Current utility bill with service address; valid rental/lease agreement; warranty deed; current mortgage statement; property tax notice; or signed contract stating you name, closing date, and property address
Birth certificate, baptismal record, hospital record with official signature; passport; or I-94
PreK Scholars also need to submit proof of income. Suggested documents are:
30 consecutive days of paycheck stubs;
2020 W-2; or
Letter from employer on company letterhead that states hours worked and pay rate.
If applicable, proof of non-work income (TANF, food stamps, child support, etc.).

When you're complete you will receive a text or email confirmation! Make sure you check you've received this to know you're done applying!
If you were able to get pre-registered please review the video on the “have a parent portal account page”
If you’re logging in with an email, you will need to go to this website, click “sign in,” and then “create a schoolchoice account.”
Choose your username and password. You will need it again in the future, so be sure to save it in a secure location.
Click “create account”. You will then get to log-in to your account and complete the application. Follow the directions for the application or watch a video here.
If you don't have access to a camera or printer to upload your documents you can send them to our campuses for support. Please label the email "Scholar First and Last Name Application Upload SY21" i.e. Joe Saavedra Application Upload SY21. If you know your scholar's ID # please include it in the body of the email.
