ALICE Evacuation

The entire school will be practicing an ALICE evacuation today so that students will know where to meet at Sunnycrest Park in the event of an evacuation. Please review the schedule carefully:

• John will make a brief announcement at the beginning of Advisory regarding the purpose of this activity.

• You will have a couple of minutes to show the diagram of Sunnycrest Park (see below). Choose a meeting place in your designated area:

  • • • If your fire drill location is in the front of the school, select a location in the parking lot at Sunnycrest

      • If your fire drill location is in the back of the school, select a location on the Sunnycrest baseball field

• An announcement will be made to dismiss the school and head to the park. RHPD will be assisting to ensure safety on the walk to and from the park.

• Meet in your assigned location and make sure all members of your homeroom are present.

• When the signal is given, return to the high school. 

• If time remains during Advisory, review the ALICE protocols regarding when to evacuate, barricade, or fight back.

NOTE: Students on crutches and in walking boots should report to Teresa Aurigemma's room (3031) when everyone else heads to the park. These students should have received an email from Renee Garrahy.
