Birchwood virtual concert 2021
My name is Mr. Ryan Watson and I am the Instrumental Music Teacher here at Birchwood School. I’d like to take a moment and welcome you to our 2021 Virtual Instrumental Music Concert.
Our instrumental music students started this year learning their instruments virtually over the internet and had no in person instruction until about 7 weeks ago. Due to the inability to rehearse together and having shorter online lessons for the majority of the year, each band student has received about 30% of the normal instructional contact time as a normal year.
We have never played together as a group and what you are about to see and hear is what we would sound like if we did play together. Each student recorded themselves playing individually and then had their videos aligned into a performance.
I’d like to take a moment and thank the people who make not only this performance possible, but support Music and Fine Arts throughout Rockaway Township.
