What is CJSF?

The California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) emphasizes high standards of scholarship and community service for California junior high school students. Founded in 1967, the California Junior Scholarship Federation is part of CSF, the oldest scholarship institution in the state of California.

How do I apply?

Fall enrollment is open to all 8th grade students in fall semester.

Spring enrollment is open to all 7th and 8th grade students in late January.

All 8th graders may apply from October 11th-25th. No late applications will be accepted after October 25th.

During the open application process, obtain a paper application from the CJSF Advisor in room 30, the front office, or school website and fill it out based on your last semester grades. Digital applications are also available here.

CJSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester.

To become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible.

A point system specified in the CJSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements.

What are the benefits of CJSF membership?

CJSF prepares the student for CSF membership. Membership also brings with it the opportunity

to participate in activities which benefit the school, the community, and the student.

During the enrollment period complete the Google form application.
