Homework:

  • Please practice areas that were provided on the letter you received and have your child read any books that may be in the blue homework folder. Be sure to return any of our small reading books the very next day. I am working on one-on-one assessments and will send updated data when I have completed it. I have calendared Thursday, May 3rd, as the day to send those letters home.
  • Math pages are due the following school day. They are usually sent home about twice a week, whenever the math lesson calls for it. If the activity is a game with pieces to cut and additional materials to use from home, please do not turn those back in. If the game has a worksheet with it, please do send those back.

***Please make sure your child writes his/her first name and date on both sides of the math homework pages. Thank you!***

  • The Daily Take-Home Activity Calendar is to be worked on throughout each school week using the My Shared Readings booklet. Please remember to have your child do what the calendar says, not what the directions say at the bottom of the booklet pages. Those directions are for us to use in class. Also make sure your child has the booklet each school day. If he/she is absent or forgets it at home, have your child complete the work missed in class. Please remember to initial the Calendar each time you work with your child on the day's activities. Thank you!

Important Dates:

Wednesday, April 18th: We scheduled Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn to visit our kindergarten classes from 9:30-10:30, but he now has a scheduling conflict. We asked if he could come later in the day and are waiting to hear back. *We were in the science lab today (Tuesday, April 17th) and watched a clip of Dirk Verdoorn as well as pretended to be meteorologists, so we are really hoping he is able to come and present.

Our students will be there from 9-9:45 a.m. and you are welcome to join us if you are a cleared volunteer. Just sign-in at the office shortly before 9 a.m. and either try to meet us at the classroom or go straight to the multipurpose room. We also have afternoon VAPA on this day.
