What is CJSF?

The California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) emphasizes high standards of scholarship and community service for California junior high school students. Founded in 1967, the California Junior Scholarship Federation is part of CSF, the oldest scholarship institution in the state of California.

How do I apply?

Fall enrollment is open to all 8th grade students in late August/early September.

Spring enrollment is open to all 7th & 8th grade students in late January.

Please check the daily announcements for important deadlines.

CJSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester.

To become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible.

A point system specified in the CJSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements.

During the open application process, obtain an application from the CJSF Advisor or school website and fill it out based on your last semester grades.

What are the benefits of CJSF membership?

CJSF prepares the student for CSF membership. Membership also brings with it the opportunity

to participate in activities which benefit the school, the community, and the student.

During the enrollment period download the application or see Mrs. Ballard
