From Coach Peter Harrison:
Best memory from the season: Shane Daly won a sectional title. He is Sectional Champ which means his name on a banner forever. One of my proudest moments as a coach this year was at the Cohasset tournament when all the younger kids had been eliminated and instead of pouting in the stands they were all on the warm-up mats grappling and wrestling for hours and cheering on their teammates that were still in the tournament.
Combined as a team we got our hands raised a total of 150 times in varsity matches. We had a sectional champ, a sectional finalist, and two 7th-place finishes in the state. More importantly, we all got better and became better for completing a grueling season.
Over the past few years, our seniors (Shane Daly, Luis Santos, Leary Costa, and Ethan Grogan) have proven themselves to be leaders on and off the mat. They've worked tirelessly to improve their skills, put in countless hours of practice, and inspired their teammates to be their best selves. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our program and will be felt for years to come.
Wrestling is about more than just individual accomplishments. It's about the bonds that we form with each other, the sense of community and belonging that we create together. And our seniors have been instrumental in building that sense of camaraderie and shared purpose within our team.
They've welcomed new teammates, taken underclassmen under their wings, and provided a sense of guidance and mentorship to those around them. They've pushed their teammates to be their best, inspired them to push through adversity, and demonstrated what it means to be a true team player.
