ROCKLAND- The end of the school year came quicker for Mrs. Emily Adams due to the pleasant arrival of her daughter.
Audrey Adams was born on April 14, right before midnight at 8 lbs 3oz and 21.5 inches. They knew the baby was a girl when Mrs. Adams was 12 weeks pregnant.
“We wanted a name that was unique and beautiful. We had a handful of names we were in between, but in the end, Audrey was the winner.”
This is Mrs. Adams’ first baby, so she and her husband, Nolan, took classes to help prepare for the newborn such as diaper changing, bathing, swaddling, and all the other necessities. The most surprising thing about motherhood for her is “how much love I have for someone so small.”
Audrey sleeps all day and in four-hour blocks during the night. “She is a very gentle easy-going baby and is very sweet.”
With Mrs. Adams on maternity leave for the rest of this school year, she coordinated with Ms. Julia DiCanzio to prepare the materials for her classes.
“I have designed a curriculum map for each class, that has units broken down into lessons by day with quizzes and tests placed according to topics. I hope everyone has a successful, happy, and healthy end to the school year! Enjoy a well-deserved summer vacation and I look forward to seeing everyone again in August!”
During the summer Mrs. Adams and her brand new family are planning to go to Martha’s Vineyard spending time by the pool and the beach. They are also planning on having Audrey baptized and celebrating with family and friends.
