Observational Drawing

Objective: Students will be able to discuss qualities of an artist's studio and explore the various tools (conventional and unconventional) that artists may use. Students will be able to recognize and collect art making tools they have available and create an observational drawing showing composition, contour lines, details and experimentation with media.

1)Introduction

In this introduction; students are introduced to the works or artists Jim Dine and Riley Holloway, define what an artist studio is and explore various artist studios. This introduction helps students to explore and develop connections to their own upcoming work.
