What We Are Learning

Math

Now that the VA SOL is completed, we will take a break from math and begin some review after this week.

Optional (and encouraged!) Resources: Reflex Math, IXL and Prodigy.

Reading

Reading improves with reading, so please have your child read at least 20 minutes per night! Please encourage this to become a part of their daily routine.

Spelling

***No spelling this week***

Students are to complete 1 word study activity at home each week. They should also complete a pretest before Friday to prepare for the test. I will provide opportunities during the week for additional practice.

As a reminder, students will receive a 75% for word study homework if they do not show an activity and pretest on Friday. They will receive a 50% if I receive nothing.

Social Studies

We will be reviewing the VA SOL curriculum frameworks to prepare for the test.

*THE VIRGINIA STUDIES SOL WILL BE THURSDAY, MAY 23!*

Science

We will focus on Social Studies for the next few weeks.
