Ms. Honza

About Me: 

Hello! My name is Jessica Honza, and this is my second year in Rockford schools. Prior to coming to Rockford, I taught in St. Louis Park Public Schools (15 years), St. Cloud Public Schools, the MSUM Regional Science Center, Deep Portage Environmental Learning Center, YMCA Camp Warren, the Minnesota Conservation Corps, and the Bell Museum of Natural History.  I love dance, reading, cross country skiing, canoeing, and rock hunting.  I am married with 3 school aged kids and 2 pet turtles!

About 6th grade science:

The major units of learning this year will include water and the hydrosphere, Minnesota Rocks,  geologic time, Plate Tectonics, Space, weather, and climate.  Through these topics, I hope to cultivate in students a sense of stewardship, curiosity, and appreciation for the world around them!
